Where is God?
Where is God? In today's world I feel like this question is being asked more and more. Where is God? Where is He with all the school shootings? Where is He with the happenings in Syria? Where is He in domestic violence situations? Where is God in general?
With so much sadness, poverty,wars, and even in our daily activities where is He? Where is He in all the injustices happening? Where is He with the cancer patients? Where is He when a drunk driver hits and kills an innocent person? Everywhere we look these days we could ask where is God?
I will tell you where God is. He is right in front of you.He is to your left and right side. He is walking next to you. He is driving in the car with you. He is with you when the doctor gives you devastating diagnosis. In any and all situations God is with you ALWAYS. Even the most devastating of times.
How do I know? Because I have faith,"If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain,'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." Matthew 17:20 and I trust," Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge." Psalm 62:8." that God is with me no matter what is going on in my life. Whether I am celebrating one of my children's birthdays or sitting by my mother's side as she passed away from a brain tumor. God is there. We cannot see him all around yet when you look at what he has created you can see him everywhere. You can see him in the early morning dew. You can see him him in the rays of sun shining through the trees.You can see him anywhere you look. Why? Because all of this is his creation. You can feel him in the gentle soft breeze. You can see him in the beauty of a sunrise or in a rainbow after a storm. You can see him in your child's eyes or when your husband gives you a welcoming hug.Yet we do not take the time to notice all of these gifts from God.They are all blessings that he gives us everyday. " I will send down showers in seasons;there will be showers of blessings." Ezekiel 34:26
No matter what is going on God is there always. God did not create the "bad" in this world, man did. God gave us free will and a mind to make choices. Man is the one who makes the choices to do the bad things that go on. NOT GOD!!! Yet God is with us during these times. We just need to trust him and have total faith that He is with us. He is with us all the time. He weeps when we weep. He is an amazing God and He only wants what is best for us. Life is life and we will all have good and bad but no matter what God is there, yesterday, today and tomorrow. He is faithful to us always, even when we mess up and sin. But he never leaves or forsakes us. When we turn our backs on God he is still there waiting for us to turn around and fall into his loving embrace. " How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!" 1 John 3:1
So why, not turn around and be comforted by the One who created you." May your unfailing love be my comfort." Psalm 119:76 Why not give total and complete surrender to the One who loves you more than any human possibly could? Let us stop blaming God for the things that are going on in the world or in our personal lives BUT let us embrace our creator and hang onto Him tightly. Cling and never let go! Trust and have faith in Him like never before. Your problems won't go away and the world will not change but how you handle it all will definitely change.
God will equip you with what you need to get through the rough spots. As the Bible says: "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified,because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave or forsake you." Deuteronomy 31:6
So, where is God? He is with you always and he is everywhere you are and He will meet you right there. Just reach out he is waiting!
